Expand your creative talents with our Artist in Residence"the famous" Blair Mcnamara in a private and exclusive workshop only at the Riverhouse...........
Blair is a unique and much celebrated artistic personality not to mention his sense of humour. His activity is well documented by Australian and world-wide media as he continues to enjoy meeting his wider audience with exhibitions and private art dealings, both in Australia and internationally. Over the past 4 years, Blair has been the artistic ambassador to National Seachange Taskforce Australia. His initial “coodabin/shoodabin” (could-have-been/should-have-been) art exhibition at the University of the Sunshine Coast Art Gallery in 2005 pondered the paradoxes of the construction craze brought on by the ‘sea-change’ phenomena in his hometown of Coolum Beach over the past 10 - 25 years.
Blair often mixes sculptural forms and mediums to take representational imagery into semi-abstraction. Starting from reality he peels away visual layers to reveal stories. You can arrange a private or group workshop with us here at the Riverhouse, just ask...
